Zion Lutheran Preschool

Zion Lutheran Preschool was developed in 1979, to meet the needs of the young child. We are fully accredited and licensed by the Iowa Department of Human Services and have achieved a Three Star Rating in the Iowa Quality Rating System.

At Zion Lutheran Preschool it is our sincerest wish that we would be God’s instruments - a living witness to Jesus Christ, Savior of all mankind, as we share His love each year. We look forward to providing a Christ-centered experience as young children begin their education journey.

Zion Lutheran Preschool exists to provide a warm, Christian atmosphere where each child will have the opportunity to experience individual growth in all developmental areas - spiritual, social, physical, emotional, moral, and intellectual.

The spiritual growth and welfare of each child is the foremost priority of our Preschool. Activities are designed to strengthen children in their relationship with Jesus while promoting self-esteem and positive feelings toward learning.

Our goals are to develop children who:

Are children of God
Have a positive self-concept
Are healthy and physically coordinated
Begin to relate to other children and adults, and to deal with their own emotions
Expand their concepts and ideas about the world
Can use language to communicate with others
Express themselves in many ways
Are curious and want to learn
Are independent

Zion offers two classes of preschool, with various sessions in each class. The 3-year-old class meets half days, 2 days per week. The 4-year-old class meets half days, 3 days per week.
